Grave Visitation

Finally finished this one... Went back and forth with adding and subtracting both elements and colors and gonna leave it as is for the time being. Text placement would be ideal for this and I hope somebody picks this up.

Valley of the Kings

Changing gears just a bit to show this one. I originally subbed this to teextile and it had an alright reception however did not make it to print. I revised it just a little and subbed it to DBH were it is now up for voting. I did this back in December (09). It's an experimental piece that displays a little of my venturing into cosmic themes.

WIP Update

Not sure about the crow on the bottom. It seems a little too dark to be noticed well and kind of detracts from the depth a little? Going to mull this one over.

WIP (Working name: Grave Digger)

This is another from the horror sketches from the sketch blog I just have to finish. I think all the elements are in the right spots, but I going to finish the hand and see how it looks and make adjustments. Going for minimal colors (1 or 2, no more than 3). These have been fun just for the challenge alone.

Mirada de la Muerte

Next week on my sketch blog the theme will be horror. I usually go for a clean look in my finished stuff, but doing these sketches on the regular has influenced my outlook a little. I still throw in some vector since that is what I grown accustomed to, but I'm trying to mix it up. I don't know what the long term effect will be, but I'm enjoying where it's going so far. Here's a couple of color combos of this one I call "Mirada de la Muerte".

I'm still working with cosmic & mystical themes (and DNA); I think that will always be something I'm drawn to.

Skulltomic Fusion

I recently started a daily sketch blog (of skulls). I probably won't complete a bunch of them, but this is one from yesterday (Daily Skull Sketch 007) that I did.

Cosmic Dust (Final)

Made some of the elements in the BG a little longer to take up more length. I'm calling it done now (for real). It's up for voting at DBH.

Cosmic Dust 2 (revision)

I saw some things I wanted to change. The triangle as much as I still dig 'em, was bugging me. I wanted it to be a secondary element and was taking too much attention. Also, the dots making the DNA strands in the back where a little distracting. I just thought the whole thing looked too busy and needed focus. I think I'm going to leave it alone...for now.

Cosmic Dust

Here's one I put together quickly. Still feeling a little rutted and wanted to crank a couple out in timely fashion in the hopes of getting in a creative and productive groove. I call this one "Cosmic Dust".
