Valley of the Kings (Redux)

Really liked the original, just thought since some time has passed what would I do with it now...Here's the result. I made the overall composition smaller and simplified the coloring. The sun is peaking out more often these days and it's influence has been an interest in brighter colors.

Here's a design by Biotwist (Jonah Block) I redid. I saw an early sketch of his original and this kind of De Kooning/Picasso -esque charcoal look came to mind. I hadn't looked at either of those artists works in quite some time, but their work (especially De Kooning) I've always liked.
